Objectives

The main goal of the Interdisciplinary Mobility Observatory of the Balearic Islands (OIMO-IB) is the development of research and transfer, innovation and training in Mobility, by specialists from different areas who work on topics that, directly or indirectly, they are related to this subject.

THE GENERATION AND STRENGTHENING OF INTERDISCIPLINARY AND TRANSVERSAL RESEARCH ARE AT THE CORE OF THE OIMO-IB.

Actions

1.

Create an updated database about: External mobility, between islands and with the mainland; Internal, resident and tourist mobility.

2.

Measure multiple territorial indicators to support decision-making in territorial and intersectoral planning, keys to the Mobility of residents and tourists.

3.

Development of mobility models to support decision-making in public policies related to mobility and territorial planning.

4.

Establish close ties with the most relevant public and private institutions of the Balearic Islands, in terms of Mobility, through Frameworks and Agreements.

5.

Publication of projects to present to competitive, regional, state or European calls.

6.

Support the continuity of the Mobility Habits Survey of the University Community (EHMCU-UIB).
